About JSON CSV Tools

What This Is

JSON CSV Tools is a collection of six free data conversion tools — JSON to CSV, CSV to JSON, XML to JSON, JSON to XML, CSV to ICS (iCalendar), and ICS to CSV. Each tool lets you convert between formats instantly, right in your browser. No signup required, no file uploads, no accounts to manage. You paste or upload your data, the tool does the work, and you get your result immediately.

Whether you're a developer pulling JSON from an API and needing a CSV spreadsheet, a project manager converting event lists into calendar format, or someone working with legacy XML data that needs modernizing, these tools are built to handle real-world data without friction.

Who Runs It

This site is built and maintained by an independent developer. There's no company behind it, no team of engineers, and no venture funding. Just one person who believes that fast, private conversions between common data formats should be freely available to everyone — not locked behind paid tiers, signup walls, or cloud upload requirements.

One person built it. One person runs it. And your data stays with you, always.

Why Client-Side Processing Matters

In November 2025, a popular online converter tool (JSONFormatter / CodeBeautify) suffered a data breach that exposed over 80,000 files containing user credentials and sensitive data. The breach happened because those tools processed user data on their servers — meaning every file someone pasted or uploaded was being stored, accessible, and ultimately vulnerable.

Every tool on jsoncsvtools.com processes your data entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device — not to our servers, not to any cloud service, not anywhere. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), go to the Network tab, use any conversion tool, and you'll see zero network requests containing your data. We cannot access, read, store, or lose your files because we never receive them in the first place.

This isn't a marketing claim — it's verifiable architecture. The JavaScript that does the conversion runs on your machine and is visible in the page source.
